Orange Sunset (again!)

ND – Dull, Cold, Winter Coming, Blue

As I mentioned in…
previous posts we have had some unusually pretty sunsets over Birmingham during 2010 and they have pleasantly broken up the otherwise unrelenting and monotonous march of grey, grey, wet and grey.

Here’s another pretty orange if you like this sort of thing. It’s not as detailed or textured as my previous efforts, and honestly a bit generally lazy seeing as the vantage point is barely ten feet from my sofa, but I like its simplicity and the fact that the details of the office block windows work well, framing the orange behind like the sprocket holes in the edge of some 35mm film.

Sunset 6

Nikon D700 'FX', Nikkor 70-300mm F4.5-5.6G AF-S VR @ 300mm, Exposure 1/1600 @ F8, ISO 200, A lazy take - the view through my floor to ceiling panoramic windows was on fire, so I grabbed the D700 off the sofa next to me and walked the whole ten feet to my vantage point. It's not really Aldrin taking Armstrong's photo on the moon is it?

Winter’s coming, so…
…if this doesn’t float your boat then you’re probably off the hook for a while 😉

Have fun,

About nakedigit

I have legs and a camera. I also occasionally use a passport. The camera with my brightest lenses can almost (almost) see in the dark. So the only thing stopping me from putting it all together regardless of where and when i am is, well, me really! However, when i don't completely muck it up the results may end up here on this blog and also my Flickr page. I now Twitter and a website is coming... ND August 2010
